Michael Castagnola

Project Manager

Michael Castagnola serves as Project Manager working on Somerset’s Baltimore development projects, new pipeline opportunities, and local public policy issues. His experience includes community organizing, politics, business operations, and financial analysis.

Prior to joining Somerset in 2022, Mr. Castagnola worked as a land use and community development consultant, Chief of Staff at a software development company, professional staff on the House Oversight Committee under Chairmen Elijah Cummings, and Chief of Staff for Baltimore City Councilman Zeke Cohen. Before moving to Baltimore, Mr. Castagnola was a middle school math teacher and an analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Castagnola has a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from MIT, a Master’s Degree in education from Delta State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from NYU.
