Somerset Development Company has been recognized with the 2025 Developer of the Year Award by Housing&, honoring a banner year marked by innovation, partnership, and measurable impact across the region. In 2025 alone, Somerset delivered major milestones including the completion of The Faircliff in Washington, DC — a 125-unit Passive House and LEED Platinum-certified community replacing existing affordable homes with expanded capacity, developed in partnership with New Community Partners, Jonathan Rose Companies, and THC Affordable Housing Inc. (Housing Up) — and The Hammond at Greenmount Park in Baltimore’s Johnston Square neighborhood, adding 109 mixed-income homes and a new Enoch Pratt Free Library branch as a cornerstone community asset, developed in partnership with ReBuild Metro, Inc. Across our 25-year history, Somerset has developed more than 2,200 homes valued at over $400 million, consistently advancing mixed-income, transit-connected, and community-centered housing solutions. This work continues to set the standard for mission-driven development across our region.
