ReBUILD Metro’s community-driven redevelopment model in Johnston Square is showcased as the example of how Baltimore is now successfully using a “whole blocks” approach to eliminate its blight and vacancy. Somerset Development has been partnering with ReBUILD Metro to revitalize vacant lots in the Johnston Square neighborhood and recently opened The Hammond at Greenmount Park at Greenmount Avenue and E. Chase Street in November 2025.
